Remembering the good old days of homemade piped biscuits, probably your grandma made these a long time ago. Maybe the children today never had the chance of biting into these really great homemade tasting biscuits.
Now is your chance to create this fantastic biscuits. Without necessarily getting rolling pins out and covering kitchen floors full of scattered flour. Luckily we now have this very quick & very effortless way of creating this biscuit in just a breeze and without mess anymore.
Gather baking sheets, measuring-spoons, 2 cup sized measuring-cup, one mixing-spoon, and one mixing-bowl. You’ll also be needing one two and one half inch metal-scoop that ones that you need to use when ejecting food out.
Then gather the other ingredients including salt, sugar, baking-powder, baking-soda, all purpose flour, oil of vegetable and buttermilk.
Turn your oven up to 425 deg. F.
Using the 2 cup measuring-cup pour in one cup buttermilk inside the measuring-cup then add in the oil in order for it to reach the one and one half mark within your measuring-cup. Place two cups flour inside your bowl, then adding in two & a half teaspoons baking-powder, one teaspoon sugar, one teaspoon salt, together with just one eighth teaspoon baking-soda.
A secret in creating delicious biscuits would mean stirring them to completely blend in together but take note of not over stirring too much. Also ensure to always scrape off each sides of your bowl so that you won’t end with some pockets containing flour.
Fill in your scoop then scraping off the edges to make sure that they’re leveled, and then eject the mixture to the baking/cookie sheet. When no scoop is available use a spoon instead. Bake biscuits for approximately fifteen minutes, till they turn brown within their top & bottom. Then brush each biscuits tops with some butter.
Since each biscuit aren’t rolled they have certain tendencies of appearing slightly irregular, but when using scoops they give more definite shape versus using any spoon.
Another traditional recipe includes this:
Holly’s Biscuits
2 c of flour (all purpose)
1 c of buttermilk
1/2 c of oil (vegetable)
2.5 tsps of baking powder
1 tsp of sugar

Mix all dry items together, then adding in oil and buttermilk. Then cut and roll or simply drop using spoons into any baking sheets. Bake them inside an oven that is preheated at about 425 deg. within the next fifteen minutes till they turn brown. Then brush the biscuit’s tops using butter. And when craving for some jelly put some jelly on its tops too.
