Bran Flakes Recipe


Bran Flakes Recipe

Ingredients:

2 c of flour (whole wheat)
1/2 c of non-fat powdered milk (dry)
1/4 c of oil
3 Tbsps of yeast (Brewers)
1 tsp of salt
1 Tbsps of molasses
2 c of bran
1 c of water

Instructions:

Combine flour, bran, milk, yeast, and salt inside a bowl. Add the oil, water, and molasses; mix thoroughly. Divide equally into 3 portions. Roll them out thinly onto greased baking sheets.

Place inside oven; bake, 350 degrees F for 15 to 20 mins or till crisp and slightly browned.

If dough hasn’t dried completely, turn oven off and leave it inside for mins or hr. Break to small bits and store inside a sterilized and airtight jar.

Whole Wheat Bread Mix Recipe


Whole Wheat Bread Mix Recipe

Ingredients:

3-1/2 c of flour (whole wheat)
1/4 c of sugar (brown)
1-1/2 tsps of salt

2 tsps of yeast (active, dry)/2 tsps of yeast (quick acting, dry)
1-1/3 c of water (warm, 110 degrees F)
2 Tbsps of vegetable oil

Instructions:

Combine salt, flour, and sugar inside a jar. Close the lid tightly. Store till needed.

Place ingredients onto the (bread) pan, according to the instructions and recommendations of the (bread) maker, save yeast to be added last.

Place the pan onto the machine; select whole wheat, preferred color of the crust, size of the loaf, and cycle for baking. Select option for delay then press “Start”.

Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins Recipe


Lemon Poppy Seed Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:

2 c of mix (Master Muffin)
2 tsps of lemon juice
1 Tbsp of poppy seeds
1/2 c of milk
1/4 c of oil (vegetable)
1 cup vanilla or lemon pudding (4 oz)
1 whole egg

Instructions:

Preset oven 375 degrees F. Beat the eggs, oil, milk and pudding. Fold seeds in. Add the almond essence then lemon juice.

Stir muffin mixture in and mix ’till just moist. Grease two small muffin trays and fill each cup about three quarters up.
Bake thirteen minutes ’till tops are golden brown. Best when serve warm. Yields two dozen muffins.

White Cake Recipe


White Cake Recipe

Ingredients:

3/4 c of milk (whole)
1 tsp of vanilla extract
3 pcs of egg whites (medium); beaten stiffly
3-1/3 c of basic cake (iii) mixture

Instructions:

Place the cake mixture on a bowl. Combine milk, vanilla, and egg whites; stir thoroughly and add onto the bowl with the cake mixture. Incorporate well.

Pour on a baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25-30 mins or till done.

Apple Muffins Recipe


Apple Muffins Recipe

Ingredients:

2 c of flour (self-rising)
1/2 c of sugar (refined)
1/4 c of sugar (brown)
1 tsp of cinnamon (ground)
1/4 tsp of nutmeg (ground)
1 c of apple (dried); chopped

1 pc of egg (large)
1/4 c of veggie oil
3/4 c of milk

Instructions:

Combine flour, sugars, cinnamon, nutmeg, and dried apple inside airtight jar or container. Store till needed.

To use, preheat the oven at 400 degrees F. Combine the prepared mix, egg, milk, and oil; mix thoroughly. Spoon onto buttered muffin tins, fill 3/4 of the cups. Bake for 15 to 18 mins or till golden.

Ginger Tea Mix Recipe


Ginger Tea Mix Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 c of plain tea (instant)
A tsp of ginger (ground)
1/2 c of sugar (refined)
1 c of milk powder (instant)
1/4 c of coffee creamer powder

Instructions:

Combine tea, ginger, sugar, milk, and creamer inside an airtight jar.

To use, mix two tablespoons of the tea mixture with hot or very warm water.

Pasta Recipe


Pasta Recipe

Ingredients:

2 pcs eggs; beaten
4 Tbsps of water
2 c of flour (all purpose)
A tsp of salt

Instruction:

Mix salt with flour inside a mixing bowl, Move flour to the sides to make space in the middle, add eggs then mix til dough is stiff. If necessary, pour one or two tablespoons of water.

Sprinkle flour on surface where dough will be kneaded. Knead the dough lightly for about three minutes or a bit more. Using a rolling pin, roll the dough to your preferred thickness and cut manually or use a (pastry) machine.

Pour homemade pasta in salted boiling water and let it stay (stir occasionally) for three to five minutes then remove from water and strain well.

For whole wheat pasta, use a cup of whole wheat flour, one egg, one teaspoon of vegetable oil and if necessary, some water and follow preparation instructions above.

Quick Lasagna Recipe


Quick Lasagna Recipe

Ingredients:

1 lb of beef (ground); brown and drain
1/2 c mix
2 c of water
1 medium-sized chopped onion
1 can tomato (sauce, 16 oz)
3 c pasta (lasagna, uncooked); break to smaller pieces
1/4 c cheese (Parmesan)
2 c shredded cheese (Mozzarella)

Instruction:

Using a large-sized skillet, mix all ingredients (except mozarella), boil then simmer it for about fifteen minutes (or til pasta is cooked). Add shredded mozarella cheese on top, turn heat off then allow cheese to melt on top.
