Honey Roasted Nuts Recipe

Ingredients:

3 c of nuts (your preference)
1/2 c of honey
1/2 tsp orange rind
2 Tbsps of butter (or margarine)
1/2 tsp cinnamon powder

Instruction:

Mix ingredients thoroughly then cook in microwave set high for four to seven minutes. Stir on occasion then remove from oven and cool on aluminum foil.

Cajun Seasoning Mix Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Tbsps of garlic (powder)
2 Tbsps of onion (powder)
2 Tbsps of paprika
3/4 c of salt
2 Tbsps of freshly cracked pepper (black)
2 Tbsps of freshly ground pepper (white)
1/4 c of pepper (cayenne); ground

Instructions:

Mix together salt, peppers, paprika, onion and garlic powders then store inside an airtight jar.

Pancake Mix, Spiced Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp of cloves; grounded
1 tsp of nutmeg powder
2 tsps of cinnamon powder
2 tsps of salt
1 Tbsp bicarbonate of soda
3 Tbsps of baking powder
1/2 c of sugar
8 c of flour

Instructions:

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves. Store inside an airtight plastic container. This makes for eighty pancakes.

As a variation for buckwheat pancakes, use 7 and 1/2 cups of flour then incorporate half a cup of buckwheat flour. For cornmeal, use half a cup of cornmeal following the same amounts of ingredients as above.

Sugar Free Jello Recipe

Ingredients:

1 pack gelatin powder (Knox)
10 sm packs of sweetener (Splenda)
1 tsp Kool-Aid (sugar free); add or lessen accordingly

Instruction:

Bring one cup of water to boil. Meantime, dissolve gelatin, sweetener and Kool-Ail in one cup of water (ice cold). Pour the hot water onto the gelatin mixture then stir it well. Put in refrigerator til firm and serve.

Ingredients:

A tsp of tea (instant)
A tsp of corn starch
1/2 tsp of all spice
1/2 tsp of clove powder
3 Tbsps of cinnamon powder
1 Tbsp of nutmeg powder

Instructions:

Sift together cinnamon, nutmeg, powdered cloves, all spice, tea and cornstarch. Sift for three times. Place inside airtight container in a cool dry place. Use within three months or within 12 months as long as it is kept inside the fridge.

Ingredients:

3 Tbsps of oregano
Red pepper (flakes)
1/2 garlic (minced); dry
2 Tbsps of cumin
3 Tbsps of salt
2/3 c of flour
2 c of chili hot powder
3.5 c of onions; minced

Instructions:

Blend together flour, onions, salt, spices, chili, garlic and pepper flakes. Place inside sealed container or zip lock bag. Equal to twelve packets of store-bought chili mix.

Freezer Pancake Batter Recipe

Ingredients:

1&3/4 c of milk
4 whole eggs
1/2 c of shortening
1/2 tsp of salt
4 tsps of baking powder
2 c of flour
1/2 c of sugar

Instructions:

Sift together the flour, salt, baking powder and sugar. Cut in the shortening. Add the eggs then milk mixing well until you get a smooth consistency.

Transfer to your freezer proof container that is airtight. This batter can be stored and used within a year. Just take out from the freezer half an hour prior to cooking.

Breading Mix for Chicken or Pork Recipe


Breading Mix for Chicken or Pork Recipe

Ingredients:

1/4 c of shortening
1/2 tsp of garlic (powdered form)
A tsp of pepper (red); grounded
2 tsps of sugar
2 tsps of powdered onion
2 tsps of oregano powder
4 tsps of salt
3 Tbsps of paprika
1/4 c of flour
2 c of breadcrumbs (dry)

Instructions:

Mix together bread crumbs, flour, spices, peppers, sugar and salt. Cut the shortening in until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Store inside airtight container for later use.

To use, clean chicken cutlets, then soak these chicken cutlets in milk. Transfer chicken cutlets inside a large zip lock bag, place two thirds of a cup of the breading mix inside.

Seal the bag then shake vigorously in order to coat the chicken cutlets. Place coated chicken in a baking pan then bake for an hour at 400 degrees F.

Ingredients:

1 c of oil (vegetable)
1 c of lecithin

Instruction:

Mix and keep in spray bottle. If you prefer butter flavored cooking spray, just add half a teaspoon of extract (butter).

1 c of flour (all purpose)
1.5 tsp of powder (baking)

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together. Yields 8 ounces (one cup) of self raising flour.

Ingredients:

1/3 c of choco chips
1 whole egg
1/2 c of margarine or butter (room temperature)
1 c of sugar (brown); packed
1.5 c of oats (instant)
1.5 c of Bisquick mix

Instructions:

Preset oven 350 degrees F. Mix together bisquick mix, oats, sugar, choco chips, butter and egg. Mix well. Transfer mixture onto a baking dish and bake fifteen minutes.

Slice into squares while bar is still hot enough. You can replace choco chips with dried fruits.

Ingredients:

1 c pretzels (sticks)
1/4 c unsalted peanuts
1 Tbsp butter or margarine; melted
1 Tbsp sugar or substitute
1 1/2 qrt popcorn (air popped)
1 c of crackers (Graham, honey flavored & bear shaped)
1/2 c of raisins
dash of cinnamon

Instruction:

Mix peanuts and pretzels in a bowl then pour butter (melted) and drizzle sugar or substitute. Stir well to allow even coating of the sugar (or substitute).

Add in crackers, popcorn and the raisins the dash with some cinnamon. Keep is well sealed jars.

Popcorn, Microwave Recipe


Popcorn, Microwave Recipe

Ingredients:

1/2 c corn kernels (for popcorn)
2 – 3 Tbsps butter; melted
Salt for seasoning
1 Tbsp cheese (Parmesan); grated

Instruction:

Put corn kernels for popping in a (bag paper), fold top (to close. with each fold about half an inch deep) and staple two to three inches distance apart.

Place bag inside a microwave (with rotating dish) oven then set for two to three minutes at high. You may turn off the power if pops come at five seconds each.

Take bag out then open very carefully to avoid steam. Place popcorn inside a large bowl, then pour melted butter in and add salt then mix well. Sprinkle with grated cheese (if you prefer).

Instructions:

Mix together your 2 ingredients thoroughly. That mixture is equivalent to a tablespoonful homemade baking powder.

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp of lemon rind
1/2 tsp of mustard (dry)
1 tsp of pepper (cayenne)
1 Tbsp of sugar (brown)

1 Tbsp of cumin
3 of onion powder
1/4 c of salt (hickory flavor)
1/2 c of chili powder

Instructions:

Ingredients:

7 c cereals (corn, rice, wheat or combinations)
1 c pretzel (sticks)
6 Tbsps butter (or margarine); melted
4 tsps Worchestershire sauce
3/4 c nuts (salted)

Instruction:

Mix thoroughly cereals, pretzel sticks and nuts. Combine butter (or margarine), sauce, salt and pour on cereal mixture then stir to distribute evenly.

Pour mixture on cookie/baking sheets then bake for forty five minutes at 250 degrees F. Place on towels (paper) and let it cool.

Ingredients:

4 c powdered milk (nonfat)
2 c orange juice mix (powdered)
1 c sugar (refined)

Instruction:

Mix well and keep in sealed jars. For Orange Float, beat one egg with half a cup orange mix and eight ounces iced water. Process with a food blender, adding two to three iced cubes.

2 Tbsps of thyme; crushed
2 Tbsps of oregano; crushed
2 Tbsps of pepper (cayenne)
1/8 c of onion (powder form)

1/3 c of salt
1/3 c of paprika

Instructions:

Mix together spices, salt, garlic, onion, and pepper. Transfer into tiny jars or containers that are airtight. Can be stored at a dry cool place for twelve weeks.

Toaster Pastries Recipe


Toaster Pastries Recipe

Ingredients:

Sugar
Jam (any flavor)
1 white (egg); whisked with one tablespoon of milk
2 tsps of baking powder
2&1/2 c of flour (all purpose)
2 whole eggs
1/2 c of shortening
1/2 of sugar

Instructions:

Cream the shortening and sugar until airy. Slowly whisk eggs in, then the flour then the baking powder until you yield a soft smooth dough.

From this dough pull apart small amounts to produce sixteen equally sized small balls. Place balls in a container and seal with cling wrap then place in the fridge for an hour or two. Meanwhile, grease a baking tray then set it aside.

Get the small dough and flatten one into an elongated shape (rectangle). Smear one teaspoon jam on the dough. Get a second ball then press into the same shape then place on top of your first pastry.

Crimp edges then put on baking tray. Prick tops with a fork. Repeat the same procedure as with the rest of the dough balls. Then, whisk together milk and whites of the egg. Use this to brush the tops of your pasties.

Bake for half an hour at 350 degrees F. Can be placed in an airtight container or can be refrigerated.

Marshmallow Creme Recipe

Ingredients:

3 eggs; separate whites to use
2 c of corn (light) syrup
1/2 tsp of salt
1 Tbsp vanilla (extract)
2 c of sugar (powdered); sifted

Instruction:

Mix eggs (whites only), corn syrup then whisk for about ten minutes (or til thick) while adding the salt. Slowly add sugar while lowering speed setting of mixer. Gradually add drops of vanilla and continue to beat til well blended.

Maple Syrup Recipe


Maple Syrup Recipe

Ingredients:

2 c of water
2 c of dark (corn) syrup
1 c of sugar (refined)
1 tsp of maple (flavoring)
1/4 tsp of salt

Instruction:

Mix water, sugar, salt and corn syrup inside a suitable saucepan and cook over moderate heat. Bring to boil while stirrinf occasionally.

Let mixture boil seven minutes then turn off heat. Let cool down for fifteen minutes then stir in the flavoring (maple). Keep syrup in a well seal jar/container.

Ingredients:

1/2 tsp of pepper (ground)
1 tsp of powdered onion
1 tsp of salt (celery)
1 tsp of mustard (dry)
2 tsps of salt (optional)
1 Tbsp of paprika
4 tsps of parsley; dried & crumbled
1/2 c of sesame seeds
1 c of wheat (germ)
3 c of corn flakes; crushed

Instructions:

Blend together corn flake crumbs, wheat, sesame seeds, spices, salt, and onion powder. Transfer mixture inside an airtight container. Write the ingredients and date on the label.

Should be used within eight weeks. Perfect for pork or chicken recipes.

Peanut Butter Recipe

Ingredients:

1 1/2 lbs peanuts (unsalted, and still in shell); roasted
2 to 3 Tbsp oil (or margarine)
Salt

Instruction:

Remove peanuts from shell. Grind inside processor til smooth, add margarine or oil (just enough to make spreadable) and salt according to your taste.

Lemonade Syrup (Concentrate) Recipe

Ingredients:

2 Tbsps of rind (lemon)
2 c of lemon juices (fresh)
2 c sugar (refined)
1 1/2 c of water

Instruction:

Combine lemon (rind), juice and sugar then stir thoroughly til it dissolves the two cups of sugar. Pour in water then keep inside a well-sealed container in the refrigerator.

Use half a cup of the lemon syrup for every tall glass of water with iced cubes.

Zwieback Teething Biscuits Recipe


Zwieback Teething Biscuits Recipe

Ingredients:

3 c of flour
3 whole eggs
1/2 tsp of star Anise
1/4 tsp of salt
1/4 c of melted butter
1/4 c of sugar
1 pack yeast (active dry)
1/2 c of milk

Instructions:

Preset oven 400 degrees F. Heat up your milk then when it is lukewarm, mix this in with your yeast. Mix in sugar, salt, star anise, eggs and butter.

Add just enough of the flour in order to make it tangible. Cover and let it rise. Shape three inch long rolls. Line them next to each other on a baking tray and let them rise once more.

Bake for twenty minutes. After you have sufficiently cooled the biscuits, slice into half inch biscuits then toast.
